Dear friends,

Warmest greetings from Madagascar, from myself and all of the parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Toamasina. Sincere thanks for your financial support in the organization of the children’s celebration in our parish.

This year, the children’s organization of the parish (VAP – Vovanan’ny Ankizin’ny Paroasy) put together a week-long gathering for children in Morondava. The children of our parish, with certain adult leaders, participated in this event. Thousands of children from every corner of Madagascar came. The journey itself from Toamasina to Morondava was a great adventure. It was about 1000 kilometers !

The children had a chance to meet with their peers, participating in conferences, playing together, and seeing this part of Madagascar. 

They visited the famous “alley of baobabs.” These trees do not grow in the eastern region, and the children had a chance to see, touch, and embrace these giants of nature.

Upon returning, the children shared their experience with others, showing them photos and telling stories of the trip.

We thank you for your help and generosity. This trip brought us great joy, with room for play and learning.
