During his visit to Madagascar in 1988, Father Marcello ZAGO, General Father, has noticed how beautiful and calm Anbinanindrano was and thought of building a house for novices there.

The idea came true and in September 1989, the formation of a first group started under the direction of Fr Jan WADOLOWSKI. The scholastic bother Jean Didier ZANADRAFARA who just finished his studies on philosophy at the Antsiranana Grand Seminar and brother Augustin ZAFIMANANTSOA who aspired to become an oblate brother were part of the first group.

On the 9t September 1990, all members of the first group pronounced their vows in presence of the Madagascar Delegation’s superior, Fr Franciszek CHRÓSZCZ.

At present (January 2017) Fr Jean Rossina RAKOTOMALALA is the master of novices and he is assisted by Fr Randrianasolo Etienne. They are in charge of 4 novices.
